Gasthaus Leiterwagen in Bernau

Simply great - I had the ox cheeks with beans and spaetzle and I'm enthusiastic. For dessert there was warm chocolate cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and cherries. All in one - a perfect treat for the palate. And the friendly staff, who immediately put something to paint for the child, was great 👍🏼 Keep it up and you will have me as a guest more often 🤤

Delicious food and friendly service. The long-term campaign "When two are doing the same thing" is also great, where you can save money on the delicious offer.

On the occasion of a sibling meeting, we went to eat at the Gasthof Leiterwagen yesterday. There is not so much parking space now, but the ambience of the inn has lifted everything. The service was very friendly, nice and accommodating. After ordering our food, it was also relatively quickly at our table, we were all very enthusiastic because the food on offer was delicious. All in all, I can warmly recommend the cart.

We were there for lunch. Very friendly welcome, without a reservation we had to wait a moment, but then we were lucky and got a nice table. The brisk service brought our dog a water bowl without being asked, great! Something like that cannot be taken for granted! The food itself came quite quickly, we had veal liver and took advantage of the 2 for 1 offer. It tasted very tasty, real mashed potatoes with a lot of butter, like "nuts". And red cabbage, liver and onions a poem; o) All in all very recommendable!

After my question whether there were still 2 places available and it was denied, I was very sad and then two minutes later I got a call back that the child-free parents could go out to eat! The food and the service are / were really great, like to come back often, with or without children ..... keep it up 👍👍👍

I gave this restaurant 6 out of 5 stars 😉. The food was really top notch. The fried potatoes were perfect and even a vegetable schnitzel can be delicious. A very friendly and attentive service 🤗 we wish the restaurant all the best and all of you stay healthy 💌

We came across the inn by chance while browsing online and were always positively surprised! Everything was consistent and fit. The ambience is very inviting, cozy and rustic. You immediately feel good. The menu is manageable, seasonal and makes your mouth water. We couldn't make up our minds! The food was absolutely delicious, the staff was super friendly and the prices are also reasonable. We'll definitely come back and try our hand at the menu again.

One of the "best" restaurants there is! A beautiful old house with history, which has been converted with great taste. The food is excellent, very friendly staff. The location in the old town center also makes it very special.

The Gasthaus Leiterwagen can almost be regarded as a veteran of Bernau, although it was only opened in 1998. At that time, an old half-timbered house was converted into a restaurant and thus fits perfectly into the cityscape and the city wall. Everyone should find something on the menu that pampers their palate. Only the children are having a bit of a difficult time, as two things seem to be missing from the children's menu.

This was our first visit to this restaurant. We had been here in the evening and it was beautiful. The food was excellent. The pork medallions were onpoint. Tender, juicy and simply delicious. The chef definitely knows his trade. The prices are definitely appropriate for the quality of the food. The outside area is picturesque, especially in the evening when the lights go on everywhere. The personnel is very friendly and courteous. She always asked about her well-being, perfect. We can recommend it to everyone. Thank you, we will be back.

The dishes were very tasty, if not exactly cheap (around 20-25 € per person and main course). Service was excellent and the historic building is very well preserved. You can sit outside in the garden and inside it is also very quaint. The bedside table didn't convince us that much, but that's a matter of taste. Would go again ... :)

In this restaurant you can eat very well, find an airy place in the shade in the greatest heat, eat an inexpensive menu of the day from Monday to Friday and then take advantage of the offer: if two eat the same, only one pays. You pay for drinks as usual. You can also sit in the restaurant on cooler days.

Very friendly service, great food and nice atmosphere. Portions were a little on the small side (especially for the children) but I'd highly recommend this restaurant tucked away behind other buildings. We had no reservation and yet they immediately found a place for us.

Very good service. The food is just delicious. We were in Bernau for a week and are grateful for this tip in the Essen cart. We can recommend it with a clear conscience.

It's quick and tastes good. The restaurant is cozy and can also be enjoyed outside in summer. The dishes are certainly not a bargain but worth the money and for bargain hunters there is a "2 for 1" offer.

Normal food but with high prices that don't match. 6.50€ for glass of wine. But a nice ambience in the garden

I have been here a few times and I really dig the ambiance. The food and service are just passable, but I give a higher score as the place is loaded with amenities.

Good food, good pricing

Even after 9pm on a normal day of the week we had a very friendly and fast service. The food tasted very good. There was almost no waiting time. If you manage to agree with your partner on a meal, then you save on the 2 for 1 action even a lot of money. I can recommend the restaurant

A real tip if you want to eat great in a beautiful ambience Seasonal products ... all freshly prepared ... no cans, frozen or packaged goods. The daily meal (salmon fillet with steamed potatoes to mustard sauce) was absolutely amazing ... large portion freshly prepared and really saulecker .... Half a point's still deduction because action "2 for 1" inconspicuous hung on the door not immediately visible .... too bad that the waiter did not point out ... we found it when we discovered it already annoying

The interior has a good, old feel, where it is bearable on cooler days. In summer, the large and covered outdoor terrace is recommended. The menu is extensive. The food comes fresh and tastes delicious .. The friendly staff is quick to the point. The price structure is slightly higher, but acceptable. There can be P-problems, but walking a few meters is also good.
